Dear God. Whatever respect I may have had for Frieden is gone. Ebola is nothing like HIV. It’s a completely different vector. A different epidemiology. Ebola will burn itself out and most likely disappear until the next outbreak. It is too deadly and kills too swiftly. It doesn’t take the months or years that AIDS/HIV does, respectively.
These two viruses have as much in common as an Abrams tank has with a stealth bomber.

And yet?
And yet, in a perverse way there is an element of truth to be found here. By standing up against oppression, we are in fact a threat to the peace; the peace of the tyrant. Or the peace of the fanatic. Or the peace of the jihadist.
Simply by being a nation based in the principles – even the supremacy – of individual liberty, religious freedom and self determination we are a threat to the worldview of nearly every other nation on the planet. By having the *power* to defend that view, we are certainly the greatest threat to the normal state of the world in recorded history.
That, I say, is a good thing. If the price of being moral or just is to be so branded, then so be it.

Nothing can interfere with keeping the Southern border open. Keeping the Democrat voting base is more important than losing a city or two. It’s certainly more important that a few thousand deaths who probably wouldn’t vote for Democrats anyway.

You know what? If there ARE riots, then you, KMOV, are partly responsible for inciting them. Partial and inaccurate reporting like you did about the “protesting” at the Cardinals game raise the tension and is both irresponsible and unethical.
For those who don’t know, that protest wasn’t about seeking justice, they were calling for the death of the officer. Further, that was a VERY small group and not representative of the people of Ferguson, though those good people are going to pay the price of your fear mongering.
Anyone involved with that story – and especially the editors who green-lit it – should be ashamed to peddle their integrity so cheaply. And if I sound a bit angry? I’ve got friends in that area. Friends who may well have to choose between getting hurt or defending themselves when this mess hits the fan.

The problem is that there is ZERO chance that the grassroots is simply going to follow blindly along in abject obedience to party leadership. Trust has been betrayed and now there is the accountability to pay.
This primary season has already sent a message that they had best listen to, regardless of how Boehner tries to bluster it. Seats that otherwise would have been considered primary safe had to be defended. Regardless whether they won, the fact that the challenges had to be taken seriously is significant. And there were enough upsets to get the point across that a) we aren’t going away, b) we *will* be watching you and c) you will be held accountable.
Now if the leadership can work under those expectations and treat us with a modicum of respect, then we can probably work together. If not, then be assured, your days of power – even as second fiddle – are numbered.

Yes. Yes they are. It needs to be reported. There are important questions, as you pointed out. It IS extremely dangerous and if it gets out of control here it would be devastating. But how you report it is as important was what you report.
