Illinois is facing at least a partial shutdown after lawmakers failed to pass a budget by a Tuesday-at-midnight deadline.

They are calling this temporary. Is there any way to make it permanent? I’m quite happy with the idea of getting Chicago’s hand out of my pocket. Perhaps it’s time to through some words back into their face:
“Elections have consequences.”
If Rauner is stopping them with a shutdown, he is still winning by my book.
